Keith FC 2 v Lossiemouth 0
MAROONS END WINLESS STREAK
Keith got back on the winning trail after a six game losing streak when Finn Yeats hit the only goal of the game against Lossiemouth. It also marked the 75th Anniversary of the very first league encounter between the sides back in March 1947.
Prior to kick off there was a minute’s silence in respect of Bill Cruickshank, a long standing member of Islavale FC who sadly passed away a few days earlier.
As expected this was a closely fought match with Balint Demus twice coming to the rescue, pulling off two fine saves. Goal-less at half-time the match continued in the same vein until the 72nd minute when Yeats, on loan from Aberdeen, pounced to slam the ball home from eight yards to seal a much needed victory for the Maroons.
KEITH – Demus, Hutcheon, K Yeats, Abdulkarim, Robertson, Yunus, Tough (Ironside), Brownie, Nawrocki (McKeown), F Yeats, Selfridge. Subs unused – McCredie, Irvine.
Referee – Mr J Kennedy
