Keith 3 v Clachnacuddin 0

CAMMY AT DOUBLE BEATS LILIES

It was perhaps fitting that Keith's victory over Clach was the culmination of a hectic weekend for all those connected with the Club.  The Maroons had a Sportsmans Dinner in conjunction with Islavale on Friday night, then a Coffee Morning on Saturday forenoon, setting up nicely for the afternoon's proceedings at Kynoch Park.

It was smiles all round for those of a Maroon persuasion come 4.45pm, with the homesters nabbing their first league double of the season, as well as their first clean sheet of the campaign. Skipper Cammy Keith nabbed a deadly double and James Brownie weighed in with a counter.  The latter's goal must have given him great pleasure as he was a late stand -in for centre half Ryan Robertson, who was injured in the pre match warm up.

There were chances at both ends in the opening minutes, Andy Smith firing inches past the foot of the post at one end and Clach's Scott Duncan shooting straight at Greg Simpson at the other end.

A goal was only delayed until the 11th minute when master marksman Cammy Keith slammed home from 10 yards to hit the "Lilies" who were wearing pink. Six minutes later the home fans' celebration was shortlived when Macaulay Rae curled a 20 yard free kick home, but Wayne Barron was adjudged to have impeded Clach goalie Steven Martin.

Clach showed their teeth in the 58th minute, Fraser Robertson forcing a fine save out of Simpson. It was at the other end though that the next goal came with 62 minutes on the clock.  Cammy Keith appeared to be upended inside the penalty area, and the skipper duly rattled home his 15th  goal of the season with the resultant award.

Although the visitors struck the post after that it was Deano's Dynamos who wrapped up proceedings in the 73rd minute through James Brownie who grabbed his second goal of the season from 15 yards.

A hard fought, but deserved winning start to December for Keith, with several hard games on the horizon.
