Strathspey Thistle 0 v Keith 2

Keith stretched their unbeaten run to four games with a comfortable win at Seafield Park against Strathspey Thistle. Although the Jags played some neat football in the opening stages they didn’t trouble Craig Reid in the slightest.

As the half wore on, the Maroons began to impress their attacking skills on the home defence, and it was no surprise when the deadlock was broken in the 37th minute. It was also perhaps no surprise that it was Polish hitman Przemyslaw Nawrocki who slammed home his 5th goal in eight outings. “Shamack” is fast gaining a reputation as a goalscorer, proving his worth yet again.

The second goal came with 63 minutes on the clock, courtesy of a marvellous sweeping left wing move, that saw Michael Ironside cut the ball inside to Luke Emmett, who in turn laid the ball into skipper Michael Selfridge’s path, and he expertly swept home his second goal in as many games.

The scoreline could have been greater with quite a few chances being created, and it is hard to believe that this is the same side that leaked 16 goals in two games last month. However, the proof is in the pudding as it were, - four games – two draws – two wins – 5 goals scored – 1 goal conceded.

KEITH – Reid, Hutcheon (McCredie 82), Emmett (Yeats 72), Grant, R Robertson, Yunus, Lewis Crosbie, Andrews, Selfridge, Nawrocki (Stewart 870), Ironside. Subs unused – McKeown, Irvine.

Referee – Mr J Kennedy
